The second Microsoft Accelerating Asia Pacific 2011 Summit was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 6-7 December 2011. Microsoft shared citizenship programs including how to use technology for positive social and economic change in the Asia Pacific region. The two days summit included speakers from Microsoft, as well as speakers from other organizations i.e. YCAB Foundation, the Population and Community Development Association (PDA) of Thailand, the Able Gamers Foundation, and many others.
Founder/CEO YCAB Foundation Veronica Colondam was among other speakers at the Microsoft Accelerating Asia Pacific 2011. YCAB Foundation has been in partnership with Microsoft citizenship program since the launched of their Rumah Belajar (House of Learning) in 2011 that provides certified computer course to the drop outs school and underprivileged youth in Jakarta. Both YCAB Foundation and Microsoft see that youth play important roles in the future of Asia Pacific.
